Solana is offering web3 developers an exclusive chance to win $1 million.
Built by Jump Crypto, Firedancer, an independent validator client designed to boost the Solana blockchain’s performance, is about to launch its first bug bounty program.
Earlier today, Firedancer engineer Cantelope Peel announced that the program kicks off on July 10th and runs for six weeks. Moreover, the program in collaboration with Immunefi, offers a reward pool of up to $1 million for developers who discover critical vulnerabilities in the first version of Firedancer, nicknamed “Frankendancer.”
Peel assured the community that development is on track, with testing confirming millions of transactions align with the Solana protocol.
“Solana’s growth, our experience within the ecosystem, and the specific technical challenges they faced in optimizing the network, made Firedancer a perfect opportunity for us to contribute.”

About Firedancer
Firedancer, a novel validator client, is poised to revolutionize Solana’s network performance. This independent client will play a critical role in processing transactions and building blocks for Solana’s massive $60 billion network. Firedancer aims to surpass the current QUIC protocol, a Google creation that has struggled with transaction processing during periods of high network activity on Solana.
Firedancer boosts Solana’s performance and strengthens the network’s overall reliability. This is crucial because any problems with the current set of validator clients could significantly impact Solana. The use of C/C++ in Firedancer aligns with Jump Crypto’s expertise in high-frequency trading, optimizing the client for speed and efficiency.
