In a surprising twist, a long-dormant Bitcoin whale has resurfaced, transferring a hefty $3.58 million worth of BTC to the cryptocurrency exchange Kraken.
According to blockchain analysis firm Arkham Intelligence, this whale, who mined Bitcoin just one month after its launch in early 2009, moved another 10 BTC (valued at $610,000) on October. 3.
This marks a significant shift after nearly a decade of silence, during which this whale’s Bitcoin ballooned in value from $474,000 to over $80 million.
The mysterious wallet, identified as “3JZsd…QerUW,” currently holds a staggering 1,169 BTC, valued at $72.4 million at today’s prices.
These recent transfers have reignited curiosity about the identity of this whale, with speculation pointing once again to the elusive creator of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto.
Adding fuel to the fire, HBO is set to release a documentary titled “Money Electric: The Bitcoin Mystery” on Oct. 8, with claims that it will reveal the true identity of Nakamoto.

One name that’s been circulating is the late Len Sassaman, a prominent cypherpunk and computer scientist. Sassaman tragically passed away in 2011, just months after Nakamoto’s last known communication, sparking theories about his involvement in Bitcoin’s creation.
However, Sassaman’s widow, Meredith Patterson, has publicly denied these claims, stating that to her knowledge, Sassaman was not Nakamoto.
As Bitcoin continues to hover around $61,815, up 1.5% in the last 24 hours but still below its March all-time high of $73,738, the mystery surrounding its creator remains one of the most captivating stories in the crypto world.
With HBO’s documentary set to drop soon, the intrigue only deepens.
