Do you play fantasy football? If so, KridaFans offers you a chance to play and earn cryptocurrency. Here’s how it works.
We had the opportunity to host an AMA with Paurav, the founder of KridaFans. He began by highlighting a common issue in web3 gaming platforms: the rewards are often NFTs labeled as rare by the platform without any social proof, or they hold little relevance for the player.
This is where KridaFans stands out. After users complete their first game, they can select a president and vice president for their team, each with an associated player value. This player value influences the team’s balance. To manage this, users can trade their cards at their desired price via blockchain and play strategically.
“What happens after I’ve set up my team?” asked BlockTour’s social media manager, Shivangi.
Paurav introduced the upcoming Fantasy Premier League, featuring 10 matches, live for 6 hours per day. He explained that users will have the ability to change or upgrade teams 15 minutes prior to each match.
Here’s where things get interesting: A player’s performance—such as an injury or a goal—will impact their player points negatively or positively, respectively. At the end of the match, the final score will be the sum of all your player points. Users will also have limited features like tripling their captain’s points or using ‘Bench Boost’ to count the points of their bench players.
A player’s credits will continuously update based on their performance. Additionally, users with top players in their team will have added advantages over new users.
In simple terms: KridaFans’ rarity is tied to the game and players, defined by users rather than the platform.
If this interests you, you can register for FPL today and compete for $75,000.
When asked how KridaFans records all the transactions, Paurav explained:
“We have to think from the user’s perspective. The NFTs need to be on-chain, and you will see your player card on Polygon. After the leaderboard is finalized, the prize distribution happens on-chain. However, every single change on the leaderboard is not on-chain, as the cost to add those changes per minute on-chain would end up being higher than the prize pool we’re offering.”
Additionally, Paurav mentioned that player cards are sold in an auction mode to give maximum control to the seller. While other users can bid, the seller ultimately decides who to sell to. Additionally, how much you are trading or selling your cards for will impact your points in the game.
For new players, this free-to-play game offers an exciting fantasy football experience with significant rewards:
- 900+ Winners and 7,000+ Users have already joined the platform.
- Over $150,000 in rewards have been distributed, with a $1,500 prize pool per round and a total prize pool of $75,000.
- Players can earn rewards ranging from $10 to $30 through community engagement and polls.
Paurav also mentioned that new users can connect with the team on the KridaFans Discord channel to address any questions.
During our AMA, we learned that what makes KridaFans unique is its balance between Web2 and Web3. For instance, users can sign up using their social profiles, such as email addresses. On the backend, their wallet will be created. However, the platform doesn’t have access to users’ wallets or private keys. Users can obtain this private information by visiting Polygon’s page.
Another useful piece of information for new users is that changes in any user’s team are not visible to everyone, and the leaderboard is reset every month to ensure fairness. To assist you, KridaFans will release a preview article highlighting which players to watch for when building your team.
Currently, KridaFans is eager to receive user feedback. Android users can download the game from the Play Store to avoid having to log in every time, as they would on the website.
