Polygon Launches AI Assistant, Polygon Copilot, to Enhance User Experience in Web3
September 16, 2023
Polygon, a blockchain scaling solution, has unveiled its AI assistant, Polygon Copilot, further expanding the list of Web3 companies utilizing artificial intelligence. The launch of Polygon Copilot aims to provide users with an enhanced and interactive experience within the Web3 ecosystem.
Empowering User Interactions with an AI-Powered Interface
Polygon Copilot serves as an AI-powered guide, allowing users to unlock a myriad of interactions simply by asking questions. Polygon describes its conversational UI as a significant advancement in user experience quality. Whether users are builders, enthusiasts, or curious individuals, Copilot offers valuable insights, analytics, and guidance.
Integration of OpenAI’s GPT-3.5 and GPT-4
Developed in collaboration with application developer LayerE, Polygon Copilot incorporates OpenAI’s GPT-3.5 and GPT-4 technologies into its interface. These technologies enable Copilot to deliver accurate and relevant information, as it is trained on Polygon’s protocol documentation. Additionally, Copilot shares the sources of information it utilizes to ensure transparency and accuracy.
Catering to Users at Different Levels
To accommodate users with varying levels of expertise, Polygon Copilot offers three tiers: Beginner, Advanced, and Degen. This tiered approach enables users to customize their experience based on their individual needs and level of familiarity with the ecosystem.
Usage and Limitations
Polygon Copilot requires users to connect a wallet, which functions as their user account. Each account is allocated credits that can be utilized to ask questions, with new credits being added every 24 hours. However, it is worth noting that Copilot’s responses are limited to prevent spamming and potential overload.
Witty and Engaging Chatbot
Polygon Copilot is equipped with a charm that sets it apart. When asked about the top NFT project on Polygon, the AI chatbot responds with a touch of personality, providing details on Drill Club and expressing enthusiasm.
Cautionary Disclaimer
Similar to other platforms employing ChatGPT’s technology, Copilot includes a disclaimer notifying users not to fully rely on the chatbot’s answers. Polygon Copilot leverages nascent AI technology, which may result in occasional inaccuracies.
Expanding the Landscape of Web3 and AI Integration
Polygon joins the growing number of Web3 companies leveraging artificial intelligence. These include Alchemy, Solana Labs, and Etherscan, which have also developed ChatGPT plugins and clones. The term “copilot” is also utilized by other platforms such as Microsoft’s Security Copilot and GitHub’s Copilot coding assistant.
Polygon has not responded to Decrypt’s request for comment regarding their latest AI assistant.
